Towels & T-shirts

slob, humor, Christmas

The other day, I decided to look thru my Christmas tub.  (affiliate link)slob, humor, Christmas

Why?     Because I was bemoaning the fact that I won’t have any money for Christmas presents.      Actually complaining to God.  When will I ever learn not to do that????      I             I should know better than that by now!!

So anyway, I got it out of the bottom of my closet, and drove into the treasure trove!

I decluttered quite a few bits, and pieces.      Strange purple twirly bits, nope, no pix, I was so intent on what I was doing.  I know, bad blogger!     A very bedraggled Wreath, (affiliate link) 5 boxes of 32 Christmas cards!!      ( I haven’t sent out cards for about 8 years!    But whenever I see Christian ones, on clearance after, I always buy them for Mama.     She is an inveterate card sender!     And we love it!)    A few miniature ornament sets: I bought 5 sets, because I wanted only the purple ones.    Natch!    And it took all 5, to make 1 set of purple, so I gave the other ones to Mama, for her garage sale.

Yada, yada.

Then, the good stuff!!      I found 4 sets of cotton kitchen towels, 2 individual towels,  snowman ornament craft kits, (Which PP had a blast with last year!   I’ll have to look up to see if I posted any pix.   Nope!      Can’t find any.   < shrug>, oh well. )   and T-shirts galore!!              If you’re reading this, and you’re in the family, (Michelle, Shirley!!), pretend to be surprised when you open your towel/T-shirt, ok??      Thanks, Sisters!

I’ve never been so grateful for towels & T-shirts!!        Thank you so much, God!       You are truly awesome!

An Absolutely post.        Brought to you by the letter “T”, and tubs.

  1. You must be really happy you found that stuff. Me – I’m just mean, I say no presents! 😳Christmas has got totally nuts now and it’s all money money money. I make stuff for people out of junk and if they don’t like it they can take a hike! My kids have got way more money than us!!!!!! It’s the thought that counts😎.

    1. Gilly, I am thrilled!! I am determined not to buy clutter anymore. Christmas T-shirts, and dish towels are not clutter!
Christmas has become so commercial, it’s so sad.
Good for you!! Gifts made by hand are more valuable to me!!

    1. Susie, I bought a few. Earrings for my Sis in love, a necklace for DD1, and candy for my Mama. For everyone else, I used what I had in my stash.
This year, not giving anyone except the grandbabies presents, due to No Spend. That will be a real challenge for me!
      Love, Lucy

  2. Hola! I’ve been following your blog for a while now and finally got the courage to go ahead and give you a shout out from Houston Texas! Just wanted to mention keep up the excellent job!
