Incline Included

I broke the bed.            It was horrendous!!          All I did was sit down, I promise!!

I sent this pic to Michelle. Her response? “I don’t see the problem.”

What??           You can’t see that my head was practically on the floor??

How ’bout now???
The bed is usually level with top of nightstand!

Once I explained what she was looking at, then she understood!            She said the angle was bad, on the first pic.            (How dare she insult my photography skills like that!!)

So, after pondering a moment, DH and I decided to just switch the pillows to the other end.       We pretended to be sleeping outside under the stars, on the playground, on a slide.

That’s not at all! conducive to sleep, just in case you’re wondering.

I kept worrying that I would slide ALL the way down, and fall off!             (Thankfully, the wall was right at my feet, so wasn’t really gonna happen.)

Soon as we woke up the next morning, we mutually decided it HAD to be fixed by bedtime!!

First, DH looked under, and found out all that happened was the wheel on the frame bent.

Whew!              Is that all??          So we really ain’t gonna die in a crush of twisted metal???

I was thinking we’d have to go buy a new bed frame.

But no!

Good old fashioned American ingenuity to the rescue!!

DH went out in the backyard, and came back with a piece of cardboard, and a cement block.

Voila!

Who knew??

I ain’t gonna be breaking that any time soon!!

And if I do, immediate weight loss surgery will be called for!

Much better!!

S’all good now!

We rested in perfect peace that night.

And yet, here I still am to tell you about it!          😉

  1. When we had our first apartment we had a mattress without a bed frame. We used to keep it on the floor and pretend it was the latest and greatest home decorating trend. 😉

  2. Ok…I know I’ve been out of commission for a bit, but…um did I miss something big here….DH!!???

PS. So glad you got your bed fixed!!

  3. Putting a brick under it would have been my first thought… actually my first thought was to prop it up with a bunch of books or blocks of wood. A brick is way sturdier. 🙂

      1. Eh, semantics. Brick, cement block… whatever gets the job done. 😛

(P.S. I don’t get notifications if you answer my comments, so if I don’t reply to you it’s not that I don’t want to, it’s that I just don’t always remember that I’ve commented here.)

  4. Very interesting points you have mentioned, regards for posting. “You bluffed me I don’t like it when people bluff me. It makes me question my perception of reality.” by Andrew Schneider.
