Okay, so I think I’m finally done stretching out the March Madness madness. I’ll just stop there, cuz there’s nothing else to say.
This is a No Spend, 2018 in 2018 post. (I hear all y’all cheering loudly!!)
Ya know the whole No Spend thing is a bust, for the whole year.
Cuz:

And because: eating out. (Now that I don’t have to pay any living expense bills, only my credit card bills, (only 2!!) and a few debts, I have money left over, every month!! It’s amazing!! So, we spend it. It’s so nice to be able to go out to eat every once in while, without saying, “Uh, no, we don’t have the money. We’re just gonna go home, and eat rice and beans. Again. But thanks!”
However:
REGULAR SAVINGS | $13.17 | $8.17 |
Would ya look at that??? I saved $8.17 last month!!!!! This is the first time in the 4 years I’ve had this account, that it has
more than the minimum required $5 in it!! That, ladies and gentlemen, is an accomplishment for me!!
DH’s account:
REGULAR SAVINGS | $35.39 | $30.39 |
Between you and me, I don’t think he ever had more than $5 either!
So, instead of No Spend, it’s morphed into a savings accounting. When ya got lemons….
March Savings: YTD:
Me: 8.17 13.17
DH: 30.39 35.39
Totals: 38.56 48.56
AND!!!!
I found my 2018 charts!! Woop woop!!
At the end of March, I had 410.

My Freedom tracker!
So exciting!
(Yes, I started in Dec. The 25th, in fact! We got so much for Christmas, I got the itch right away to start purging other stuff!)
And the girls ended March with 178!! Yay, my babies!!

March items: YTD:
Me: 134 410
Girls: 72 178
Totals: 206 588
Nothing can stop us now!!
A 2018 in 2018 , and a No Spend post.

Awesome!!!!
Our “no spend” didn’t actually work as planned but, like you, we did save more than usual.
Congrats on removing over 500 items from the house!!
Thanks Barb! Yeah, no spend is too hard!! Save some works better!!
No spend? Does safe, reliable transportation really count?
You’re right, it shouldn’t! But we go out to eat all the time. So, either way, it’s done.
