Yesterday when I stopped, I was quoting:
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
In ALL these things. Are sugar and gluten included in all these things?? Well, I’d have to read the context of that verse….. It’s talking about keeping us from the love of God.
Is love of food keeping you from turning over every particle of your being to obeying God’s Word??
Ummmm, sorta. I mean, I know I’m not obeying:
Proverbs 23:2 [Full Chapter]
And put a knife to your throat If you are a man given to appetite. (Or woman.)
To completely obey God, I’d have to quit being a glutton, or slice my throat. And other places say it’s wrong to kill….
Exodus 20:13 New King James Version (NKJV)
13 “You shall not murder.
So that means I have to stop being a glutton. Wow, glutton is such an ugly word.
Being one is even uglier. So, being a glutton means you love food more than you love God. Am I hearing that right??
Uh, uh, well…..
Yes or no?
yes, that’s exactly what it means.
So, what are you gonna do about that?? Start loving God more than food, and have true health, and happiness in God? Or keep on ignoring the truth, and doing things your own way?
How has doing things your way instead of God’s worked for you in the past??
Well, that’s why I lost my first, and second marriages to PopPop. Going my own way, drinking, and dating men while I was married. And losing DH the first time…
And how did that make you feel? And worse, what were the lasting consequences?
Losing my marriages, my family, teaching my children all the wrong things by example, losing friends, my self respect, still struggling with various relationships because of all the damage I did.
So, you KNOW ignoring God, and going your own way turns out horribly.
Gotta stop for today. Really emotional.
A March Madness post. Brought to you by murdered marriages.
