Once upon a time, 5 years ago, I had a gorgeous crystal chandelier, in our trailer, when DH and I were married the first time. I was totally in love with it. When I left him, it got boxed up. In transit to the next place, it got shattered.
My heart was shattered with it.
Then my sister, Michelle saw one at a mutual friend’s house, exactly like it! She got so excited, she begged the friend, “If you ever get rid of this, please give it to Melinda!! Hers got broken!” And said friend promised. I think Michelle even made her pinkie swear, not sure.
Guess who called me this week??
Yep! Said friend finally got new Chandeliers, (affiliate link) so now she had 2 crystal ones to give me!! I was so thrilled!! So, DH picked them up, and brought them home.
Then, reality hit me in the face. No.place.to.hang.them. Ceilings are too low, here
in Joy House. I almost sat down and cried.
What should I do with them??? Keep them and hope I move soon??? NOOO!
Habitat for Humanity has 2 new pieces to sell. And I’m left with the memories…
