Guess what, Carrie? (She writes AMothersShadow) It’s only January, and I already have stuff for Operation Christmas Child! (Never mind that it is stuff I had in my Christmas bin, that I “discovered” when I unpacked the bin in December!)
Also, I’m collecting toothbrushes, and bandaids. My insurance company sends me OTC items every month, so I order what I need, then extra for the shoe boxes. I’ll be all set for those items come November!
God is so good to me! I want to help as many people as I can. Sending the Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes bless me, with the joy of giving. Then they bless the kid who receives them. WIN/WIN!!!
Don’t you just love WIN/WINs??!! They’re the best!
Think about participating this year, won’t ya? Gather hygiene items, no toothpaste or liquids, no candy at all. But little toys, solid deodorants, raZors for teens, toothbrushes, etc.
We sent T-shirts, school supplies, sometimes shoes, if Sis Michelle found them on a good clearance.
Go to the Operation Christmas Child website, by Samaritan’s Purse, for more details. https://www.samaritanspurse.org/operation-christmas-child/the-greatest-journey/?
I promise, if you do it, you will feel a warm glow of giving, and blessing a child! Let me know if you do it!
I know November is 10 months away, but it’s never too soon to start planning, and looking out for those clearance prices, and sales!
